By submitting an order and accepting the Terms and Conditions, you are agreeing to abide by the freight and delivery details set out below. Please read this delivery information carefully before submitting your order. We are unable to refund deposits once the order has been submitted.
Most of our producers and suppliers choose not to use liners, insulation, or ice packs in their packaging to reduce their carbon footprint and minimise waste. Your product will arrive in typical wholesale packaging (sealed cardboard cartons). You must be home for your delivery or ask a neighbour to receive your box and place the products in your refrigerator or freezer.
DELIVERIES – COLLECTIONS – and FEES:
Typically, freight costs $35.00 (metro) for up to 2 cartons, and $45.00 (regional). Higher fees apply to FNQ, Western Australia, and Adelaide.
Some items have a ‘farm delivery fee’ applied – check the actual product for details, as these fees may alter the final delivery fee.

1. Delivery Areas
- Hand Sourced delivers all Products to delivery areas contained in the postcode checker, above.
Run sheets are updated at the carriers discretion. - Please contact us by emailing shirley@handsourced.com.au if Your delivery postcode is not located to confirm if the Products You propose to order can be delivered.
2. Delivery Costs
- Delivery costs are set by the Delivery Service Providers and are outside of Hand Sourced’s control. These charges are variable depending on:
- where the Product is dispatched from;
- the carton quantities;
- distance;
- accessibility of the location;
- fuel costs;
- levies;
- GST; and
- the availability of equipment.
- Hand Sourced understands freight is expensive and therefore does not inflate these freight costs and bears all packaging costs.
- Quotes are estimates only. Freight costs can only be confirmed once the Products are packaged and ready to be dispatched.
3. Air Freight
- Air freight delivery fees are set by the airline and are available on flights to major airports, on an “airport-to-airport” basis. That means all costs associated with transport to and from the respective airports are your responsibility.
- If you require air freight, please contact Hand Sourced to request a quote.
- If you wish to arrange your own air or road freight, or your own courier, please contact Hand Sourced to advise of the arrangements. Please note that all associated costs will be your responsibility.
4. Delivery Guidelines
- Customers must nominate a safe drop zone that does not require customer contact.
- Drop zones must be:
- well lit
- offer unobstructed pathways
- free from loose animals (drivers will not enter with dogs present)
- We do not deliver to back doors
- Rural driveways will be accessed at driver discretion *unpaved, long, dimly lit, and steep driveways all present an increased risk of vehicles getting stuck and drivers are encouraged to be cautious. Rule of thumb: If the driver cannot see the house from the road they will leave at the safest spot near the road.
- Couriers cannot guarantee customer contact will be made. Please use the automated SMS as the primary form of notification upon receiving a delivery rather than driver contact. Customer’s mobile device settings can be changed to assist in this.
- Business Deliveries will be routed to daytime delivery windows in order to provide the highest likelihood of the driver being able to access the drop spot. Please ensure business names are included in a separate field from the address to provide additional help for the drivers.
DEFAULT DROP SPOTS
- Default delivery drop spot is the front door. *Alternative delivery instructions can be accommodated but it will always remain up to driver discretion and will be left in a default drop zone if they cannot be followed
- Apartment complexes: If accessible the drivers will take to the unit door. If secure, the drivers will leave under Intercom
- You will recieve an SMS the day before your item is dropped, and again afterward. Your SMS will contain tracking information where you can trace your goods in real time.
- Drivers will never enter a customer’s property including opening garage doors and placing inside of garage doors. Drivers will never open boxes and remove items at the request of customers as the carton must remain intact and sealed until received by the customer. Drivers will not drop items over fences, particularly high or solid fences that they cannot see through.
