It typically includes a mix of our most popular offerings — such as wings, drumsticks, thigh cutlets or breasts — alongside organ meats like liver, heart, or necks. The specific contents will vary, but each carton is thoughtfully packed to offer balance, value, and quality.

A bird of true distinction, Sommerlad chickens are slow-grown over 12–14 weeks on the Kiss family farm, Meramie, NSW. They thrive on open pastures, naturally foraging in a regenerative environment that supports biodiversity and flock wellbeing. The result is a rich-textured meat with deep flavour — unmistakably different to conventional chicken. This sampler is an ideal introduction to the breed, offering an opportunity to cook across a range of cuts, offers change monthly.

• Skinless Chicken Breasts (approx. 2 kg)
  Succulent, juicy, and full of flavour — these heritage breasts are nothing like supermarket chicken. Lean and tender, perfect for pan-frying, grilling, or slicing cold into salads.

• Chicken Hearts (500 g)
  Chemical-free and clean-eating, these are ideal skewered and grilled over charcoal. A firm, flavoursome delicacy with a mild game-like taste — quick to cook and popular in traditional cuisines.

• Chicken Thigh Cutlets, Skin-On Bone-In (approx. 2–2.5 kg)
  Often called the king of cuts, these are the most flavourful and premium sections of the bird. Sear skin-side down until crisp, then finish in the oven or braise slowly for deeply satisfying results.

• Liver (approx. 1 kg)
  Rich, earthy and perfect for pan-frying with sage and brown butter, blending into pâté, or adding depth to stuffing. A little goes a long way — heritage liver has true depth of flavour.

• Marylands (approx. 2–2.5 kg)
  This is dark, juicy meat with robust character. Excellent roasted, braised, tray-baked or grilled. A versatile and satisfying favourite.
