Our Grassland Sommerlad Heritage chickens are the original Australian heritage chicken genetics — bred, raised, and processed entirely on the Kiss family’s farm, Meramie, in Wellington, NSW. Slow-grown in open grassy woodlands, they enjoy a natural 14–16 week life cycle that develops strong bone, muscle, and flavour. Outdoor-reared and chemical-free, they offer the rich taste and character of chicken as it once was.

delivery details

Each carton is dispatched from our Sydney warehouse to the address supplied with your order. Carton weights listed are indicative; your invoice will reflect the true weight of the carton.

Product is kept in a frozen chain from our depot to your nearest cold store. However, the courier who delivers your cartons may use a refrigerated vehicle transported at 0–1°C, which means you might (occasionally) notice some softening around the edges.
