Ideal for slow roasting or breaking down for braises, pheasant has a gently gamey, sweet flavour that suits both classic and modern preparations. Try roasting with thyme and pancetta, or poaching in broth for deeply flavoured soups.

ORIGIN STORY
A seasonal specialty, pheasants from Broody Goose Farm are available from May through August, with frozen stock offered until sold out. These birds have a rich, subtly sweet flavour with gentle gamey notes. Each carton contains 14 whole birds, supplied frozen.
Incubated and raised entirely on-farm, the pheasants roam in large, predator-proof bush enclosures. They’re free from chemicals and hormones, and are processed and packed by hand. Birds are supplied frozen, with an average weight of 1.0–1.2kg each.

Each carton is dispatched from our Sydney warehouse to the address supplied on your order. Carton weights listed are indicative, your invoice will reflect the true weight of the carton.
Product is kept in a frozen chain from our depot through to your nearest cold store, however the courier who delivers your cartons may use a refrigerated vehicle, transported at 0c-1c – which mean you might (not always) see some softening of the product around the edges. This is not a problem – it is part of the Australian logistics networks. You can read more about that here.
